About us:
Dekabristen e.V. is a Berlin-based NGO of Russian-speaking activists and young experts for Eastern Europe. We are involved in civic education and the development of international cooperation in the fields of culture, human rights and media in post-socialist Europe. We advise and support NGOs, grassroots initiatives, social enterprises as well as art and media professionals from Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and other countries of the region. Since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, we have been helping to host refugees in Germany and providing urgent support counseling.
The main areas of our work are:
  • International exchange and educational trips
  • Civic Education
  • Education, support and consultations to develop media, cultural and civic initiatives
  • Refugee aid (since 24 February 2022)
Stellenausschreibung: Finanzmanager*in
Was auf Dich zukommt:
  • Finanzmonitoring und Abwicklung des Zahlungsverkehrs
  • Erstellung und Prüfung von Finanzierungsplänen, Abrechnungen, Finanzberichten
  • Buchführung (u.a. Lexware)
  • Beratung von Mitarbeiter*innen und Projektpartner*innen
Was solltest Du mitbringen:
  • Du verfügst über ein erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium; alternativ eine kaufmännische Ausbildung im Finanzmanagement oder Erfahrung im Projektmanagement
  • Du hast Interesse an der Arbeit in einem gemeinnützigen Verein
  • Du hast eine eigenverantwortliche, strukturierte und zuverlässige Arbeitsweise sowie hohe Serviceorientierung und Diskretion
  • Du hast einen effizienten und klaren Kommunikationsstil
  • Du bist sicher im Umgang mit MS Office Programmen
  • Kenntnisse von IT-Systemen, Controlling-Standards und Monitoringinstrumenten sind von Vorteil
  • Du hast sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
  • Gute Russisch- oder Ukrainischkenntnisse sind von Vorteil

Open Position: Office Management (part-time)
What can you expect:
  • Office management in Berlin in an international team
  • Active support of the team in daily business
  • Assistance in the organization and coordination of (online) events, meetings and activities
What we expect from you:
  • (First) experience in office management
  • Higher or vocational education
  • Organizational skills, high team spirit and dedication
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other digital project management tools
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Good knowledge of other foreign languages especially German, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Romanian or Georgian will be a plus.

Open position: Intern Communication
We are looking for a communications intern for a period of six months on a part-time basis or by arrangement. The anticipated start date is April 2022. The internship will be paid 300 EUR per month. Upon successful completion of the internship it is possible to gain employment. The internship is located in our office in Ahlbecker Str. 3, 10437 Berlin, but some tasks can also be done from home.
Your main tasks will include:
  • Create social media posts related to current events on Facebook, Telegram and Instagram (Stories)
  • Create of publications, posts, promotional materials, newsletters and press releases with news from the projects
  • Research in the field of civil society and East European politics
  • Edit and translate texts
  • Assist with the organizing and implementing of (online) events
  • Update materials on our website
Who we are looking for:
  • You are studying or have recently completed a degree in media or communications, East European studies, journalism, marketing or a related field.
  • You enjoy communication, writing texts, working independently, have a structured working style, and always keep an overview and sense of priorities in hectic situations.
  • You have already gained some practical experience in PR, marketing or journalism, and in writing (public relations) texts.
  • You have a sound knowledge of the current MS Office programs.
  • Knowledge of image editing programs is an advantage.
  • You speak German like a native speaker, have a very good knowledge of English and a good knowledge of foreign languages such as Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Georgian, etc.
