During an internship as a project assistant at Dekabristen e.V. you will support the team of the non-profit association, which is committed to human rights, sustainable development and cultural dialogue in and with the countries of the Eastern Partnership and Russia since 2012. You will get an insight into the day-to-day routines of the association and dive into various projects, including the online platform for political education “Citizen+”, education and support programs for journalists “Metamedia”, exchange and art projects “Feminist Translocalities” and "Re-Imagine Your City".
The internship is advertised part-time for six months. It can start on November 1, 2021. A payment of EUR 300 per month is planned. After successfully completing the internship, a takeover is possible. You will work in our office at Ahlbecker Str. 3, 10437 Berlin, partial home office is possible.
Your main tasks include:
Support in the planning, organization and implementation of online trainings and events in Berlin
Research in the field of civil society, political education, Eastern European politics
Written and oral communication with project partners
Support with public relations in social media channels: Instagram, Telegram, Facebook
You are studying political or social sciences, Eastern European studies or a comparable course or have recently completed your studies.
You have already gained practical experience in project work and event organization;
You enjoy working independently, have a structured working style and always keep an overview and a sense of priorities in hectic situations.
You have in-depth knowledge of common Office applications
Your German is fluent, your English is very good and you have a good knowledge of an Eastern European language such as Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Polish, Romanian etc.
