During the art residence at Lake Baikal from July 22 to August 4, 2019, artists from Berlin, Minsk, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Irkutsk got familiar with the local context, built their own artistic practices in cooperation with the environment and organized art workshops for residents of the villages of Maloe and Bolshoe Goloustnoye. The art curator of the residence was Maria Dmitrieva from St. Petersburg group

The results of the 10-day art residence were presented at the International Festival CONTEXT on August 2 and 3 in Bolshoe Goloustnoe. The festival was part of the
International Volunteer Exchange program organized by Dekabristen e.V. with the financial support of the German Federal Foreign Office.
