The introductory seminar in Tbilisi will begin with an overview of the contemporary artworks that reflect the idea of peacebuilding. Then we will discuss the peacebuilding political frameworks and how to incorporate relevant scientific approaches in artististic work. Also, we will pay a studio visit to the local artists working with the subjects of peace, war and peacebuilding.
Finally we will host a public discussion to talk about general approaches to and highlight particular projects dealing with creative peacebuilding in Eastern Europe. Emerging visual artists and established art critics, curators and experts from conflict regions in Eastern Europe will be in attendance for a lively discussion and invaluable experience.
